Just for laughs

I never edited or printed these last year, so here they are for the first time. These made me laugh tonight. Charlotte didn't like the elastic waistband around her belly, so she insisted on pulling it up like that. I remember thinking it reminded me of my loathing for maternity pants. Who's that peanut in the basket?





My Dad loaned me the basket when I described my idea for these pictures. It has turned into a wonderful container for stuffed animals. Um, Dad, did you want it back?

Our dirty little secret

Louisa came over this morning and we had a great time together. I thought I would take a few pictures of her in this cute little sweater Alex got her. I took her outside and sat her down in some leaves. She loved the idea! She was up in a flash and running around like crazy. Isn't she adorable?! And hey, it even looks like fall!




Then, I realized she didn't have any shoes on and the bottom of her spotless little organic cotton Hannah Anderson baby tights were all black. I panicked. I stripped off the baby tights, hand washed them, threw them in the dryer and had them back on her before Alex got back. And then I swore Louisa to secrecy. But, I am left with this photographic evidence ;)

This is our second trip out when I had the sense to put Grace's shoes on her.

Still here

A new post for the first time in awhile. We're still here. Mostly sick of this lousy weather.

These are almost two weeks old and I am just getting around to looking at them. These are Charlotte's new Dora the Explorer undies. She really liked them. They come three in a package so she of course put on all three. Makes perfect sense to me. We are actually still having trouble convincing her that she only needs to wear one pair at a time. We are also having trouble convincing her that she wants to poop on the potty, which would seem to be a bigger obstacle.

Our little angel

Well, sometimes. This sweet little smile and pose from Grace was not for my benefit. She was so pleased with herself for sitting up there on that bench. Grace loves to sit on stuff.




When Charlotte doesn't want her food cut up into little pieces she will tell us "my eat the WHOLE ting!" Grace now sometimes insists on eating the whole thing, too. Like this strawberry, for example. She reminded me of a little squirrel nibbling away at it with her front teeth. Grace's method of telling us that she wants the whole thing involves emphatic pointing and whining/grunting.

Louisa's belated one year pictures

I really enjoyed photographing Louisa this afternoon. We have had to rescheduled her one year old pictures several times now. It was great fun to get to play with her today.





She loves to read, how awesome is that! My brillant little niece in the making...

Giggles

Grace is very ticklish. There are many more in this series, but these were my favorites. They are a little blurry because (obviously) she was moving all around and there wasn't much light. I love them anyway.




Grace LOVES to play rough and get bounced/tossed/spun around. Derek plays with the girls in the evenings and they take turns getting dropped on the bed and things like that. Grace goes absolutely nuts scrambling to get back in line for her turn. It is really funny to watch. You can't quit, either. She just keeps demanding more. I will have to try to get pictures of that next.
